Rob Wood worked as a control systems sales engineer for 5 years after completing an apprenticeship in Industrial Measurement and Control, having covered electrical and electronic engineering as part of his studies. He then moved into the IT sector as a field support specialist with Kalamazoo Computer Group, also undertaking a part-time Post-Graduate Diploma in Management Studies at UCE followed by a Marketing Diploma alongside his employment.
Having become increasingly interested in the effects of changing technology, Rob then opted to undertake a PhD qualification in Organisational Psychology. His thesis was supervised by two Psychologists and a Management Theorist who were excellent in their guidance.
Rob then left Kalamazoo and joined PM Professional Learning, teaching and developing Project Management training (APM, PMI, PRINCE2 and bespoke) across a wide range of industrial, commercial and civil service organisations. He became a Principal Consultant and Practice Manager.
After 9 years, Rob branched out into self-employment and has since operated for 8 years under Robert Wood Management Training Ltd.
Rob is addicted to running, enjoys cycling, and reading quality literature in his spare time.
He also uses DIY wherever possible and of course spends time “coping” with his wife, two daughters and grand-children!
