Simon Dove is a highly effective and experienced project management training consultant with a passion for passing on knowledge and helping people to improve their effectiveness at work. He specialises in the qualifications offered by the Association for Project Management (APM). Simon has been delivering APM PMQ (formerly APMP) courses since gaining the qualification in 1999, and APM PFQ (formerly Introductory Certificate) courses since the launch in 2004. He notably assisted with the development of these courses.
Simon is an assessor and a facilitator for the APM Practitioner Qualification (PQ). He currently holds positions on two APM committees: he is a member of the Examination Technical Assurance Group (ETAG) for both PQ and PPQ (Project Professional Qualification). He is a full member of APM.
Simon found himself working in project management when he started his career in IT for a high street bank. He then moved into training and consultancy in project management, now focussing purely on professional development educational training.
In his spare time he likes to walk with his wife and Jack Russell terrier, and is occasionally joined by his grown up children. Once a year he is also joined by a group of friends (ex-colleagues) who have been reuniting for the last 20 years. He regularly attends live music and theatre productions. Simon is a season ticket holder at Watford Football Club and enjoys attending matches with his daughter.
